Insurance & Billing for
Equal access to Medical Massage Therapy for all individuals!
We offer payment options for individuals who do not have health insurance coverage, have exhausted their insurance benefits, or who choose to not use their health insurance. We believe everyone should have equal access to quality massage therapy.
Self-Pay Massage Therapy:
We want to ensure that all individuals have access to quality massage therapy treatment. We offer affordable rates for patients without insurance or who wish to not use their insurance. For self-pay accounts, payment must be made at the time of service. Some restrictions may apply with patients who qualify for Medicare, Medicaid, or other specific insurance plans.
Appointment Cancellation Policy:
If you should need to cancel an appointment, please be aware of our requirement of at least 24-hour notice. Failure to cancel your appointment with more than 24-hour notice will result in a $50.00 fee. Insurance will not pay for this fee, so you will be responsible to pay at your next visit.
Our insurance verification process:
Whether you are a first-time patient of massage therapy or a loyal, returning customer, it is our goal that you feel confident in understanding your insurance coverage.
When you call to schedule your first appointment, we will ask you for your insurance information. Then, as a courtesy to you, we will call your insurance company directly to verify your benefit coverage and will review this information with you before you begin your first visit.
We also encourage you to call your insurance carrier to find out the massage therapy benefits provided by your medical plan prior to your visit.
If you have massage therapy benefits, treatment will need to be paid for at the time of service, but discounts are available for patients that pay on the same day.
Our insurance billing process:
Unfortunately, we do not file claims directly with your insurance company on your behalf. However, we will provide you with all of the necessary information that the insurance carrier will require to submit for reimbursement.
If treatment is due to a motor vehicle collision or work-related injury, we will bill the necessary insurance company directly. Please have your claim information including your adjusters contact information.
Is a Physician’s referral needed for insurance to pay?
State laws allow consumers to access massage therapy services directly, without the need of a physician’s referral. Insurance coverage and the requirement of a physician’s referral, however, is plan-specific. Most insurances do not require a referral, but some do.
If you do not have a physician’s referral for massage therapy and are uncertain if one is required in order for insurance to pay, we recommend that you contact your insurance company directly to verify this. We are also happy to verify this for you prior to scheduling your first appointment.
Billing made easy for you:
Payment is due at the time of service for non-motor vehicle collision or worker’s compensation visits. We gladly accept cash, check, or credit card (Visa and MasterCard) at all of our clinic locations.
If payment is not made in full at time of service, we will e-mail you an account statement that reflects the current balance of your account at the time the statement is processed.
We offer three convenient payment options:
Bills are sent directly to emails and will have online payment options available.
